Happy Saturday! If you are looking to start a new book series this weekend I have a really good one for you to look into. The Beyond Series by Kit Rocha. I stumbled onto this series by sheer luck and honestly Im thanking my lucky stars that I did. There are a total of 5 novels (with one coming soon) and 3 novellas I spent my entire week wrapped up in a world of Bootleggers, Drug Lords, Brothels, and honestly just a really amazing story line.
The first novel is Beyond Shame, this is where our story begins we meet Noelle Cunningham a councilman’s daughter who has been kicked out of Eden where only the powerfully rich and high and mighty are allowed to remain. Noelle stumbles into Sector 4 which is ruled by the infamous O’Kane Gang who are the infamous cage fighting bootleggers. The sectors around Eden are corrupt and full of criminals, it’s a harsh life/reality for the people who live in the sectors but for Noelle who has lived a nice posh life it’s eye-opening and definitely life changing. This story is all about Noelle’s journey to finding herself and being corrupted by Eden’s standards she falls in with the cage fighter/bootlegger Jasper McCray and finds her self immersed in the O’Kane gang and really testing her boundaries and changing her city girl way of thinking. When one of her fathers enemies tries to murder Noelle she finds that the O’Kane’s are more than just bootleggers or cage fighters or even criminals they are a family and they protect their own which is something she never had in Eden. This novel has such a great story line and keeps you going back for more! It’s chocked full of suspense, drama, sex, drugs you name it and it probably shows up here but this is definitely a series that you do not want to miss! I found myself drawn to the entire series it was well worth the time and money that I spent purchasing the remaining novels/novellas. This is a series that really takes you to another world and allows you to immerse yourself in the Sectors Kit Rocha does an amazing job of painting a picture of what the harsh Sector life is like.
